Hearing-Aid Study Group

Seminar Hearing-aid fitting software - workshop  with Raul Sanchez Lopez.

The Hearing-Aid Study Groupis an informal initiative at DTU Hearing Systems. The goal is to stimulate research collaboration, help each other out, make best use of the expertise of collaboration experts, expand our knowledge and skills, and to establish best practices. All of this aims to make our hearing-aid research more solid and grounded in the “real world”. The meetings usually take place twice every second week. The time is spent on presentations and discussion. Everyone is welcome to participate and to present - also people from other researchgroups, universities and companies.

Despite hearing researchers deal with different aspects of auditory processing, hearing loss, and signal processing for hearing devices, the perspective over the same problems in the hearing care clinic might be quite different. Hearing Care Professionals (HCP) aim to provide hearing solutions to the individual patients, which involves the obtention of the right information (clinical and personal needs) and a good understanding about the technology and capabilities of the solutions. Therefore, this meeting will consist of an overview of the procedure for hearing aid fitting and the available tools for that, e.g. the hearing-aid fitting software.
