Talented PhD student honored at Elite Research Awards

Congratulations to Federica Bianchi 
in between HRH Crownprincess Mary and the new Minister of Education and Research Sofie Carsten Nielsen (R).

Thursday 6 February, Federica Bianchi PhD student at Hearing Systems received the Travel Grant fellowship at the Elite Research Conference 2014 that was held at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Federica Bianchi is one of the twenty talented PhD students and five young scientists that were hailed and celebrated at the Education and Research Ministry annual distribution of Elite Research Prices.
"Denmark must be an open-minded country, attracting international talents, and there should be more women in top positions within the field of research," said the new Minister of Education and Research Sofie Carsten Nielsen (R).
"New knowledge does not come by itself. There are people behind, and we can not do without curious researchers," she concluded.

Federica Bianchi has received 300.000 Danish Kroner for travelling abroad and she is probably going to use it for research at the Perception and Cognition Lab at the University of Minnesota and International Laboratory for Brain Music and Sound Research at MCGill University Montréal Canada.
